Buckeye is the most western town in the Phoenix area. Buckeye residents love being away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, yet close enough to get there easily if needed. Octoberfest Carnival, Rock and Mineral Show, Rodeo, community yard sales, Holiday Boutique’s and much more! There are also many opportunities for recreation at the town’s local parks and libraries. There are approximately 7 parks in town that feature baseball fields, softball fields, a football field, volley- ball courts, basketball courts, soccer fields, playgrounds, and picnic tables. There is also an Aquatic Center and a skate park.
Are you the outdoors type? If you enjoy hiking, then make your way over to Quartz Peak Trail, Margie’s Cove or Thunderbird Park where you will find hiking, biking and horse back riding trails. There are also several golf courses nearby that are worth trying. Sundance Golf Club, Verrado Golf Club and Copper Canyon Golf Club are all excellent courses. Like to shop? There is the Buckeye Outlet Mall, Sundance Towne Center, Desert Sky Mall and shopping in Downtown Phoenix.
